Since the year 2007, we have been delighted to offer four training positions per year for chemistry lab technicians in our locations Hamburg and Pinneberg. Based on the cooperation between the two locations with regard to the training, we are able to provide our trainees with comprehensive knowledge in the three core competencies of the GBA Laboratory Group: environmental analysis, foodstuff analysis, and consumer goods analysis. That's how we guarantee the high quality of our training program for chemistry lab technicians.
The main focus is in the wet chemical and physical analysis, such as gravimetry and titration. For elective courses, we offer spectroscopy, chromatography, quality management, sampling, and microbiology. Additionally, our chemistry lab trainees also have the opportunity to do an inhouse organic-preparatory internship.
The practical training as a chemistry lab technician is accompanied by theoretical training that takes place once a week in our seminar room. Naturally, the trainees also participate in the vocational school classes that take place in two blocks of six weeks a year at the vocational college G13 in Hamburg - Nettelnburg.
We are especially pleased that we have so far been able to offer every trainee a professional position at the GBA Laboratory Group at the end of their training program.
You can apply now for a spot in our professional training program in 2019. The training to become a chemistry laboratory assistant lasts between 2½ and 3½ years, depending on your previous education. The deadline for applications is January of each year in order to start the following summer.
